In Chicago:

 

Jeffrey A. Chadwick, in the Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Practice, concentrates his practice in the areas of bankruptcy, reorganizations and creditors’ rights.  Mr. Chadwick advises debtors, lenders, creditors, landlords, asset purchasers and other parties in interest in all litigation and transactional aspects of bankruptcy, business reorganizations and out-of-court restructurings.  His experience includes extensive representations of DIP lenders and prepetition secured lenders in large, complex chapter 11 cases and secured creditors in assignments for the benefit of creditors, receivership actions and private and public foreclosure proceedings.  Mr. Chadwick also frequently litigates on behalf of creditor clients in contested matters and adversary proceedings in chapter 11 cases as well as in state and federal courts respecting intercreditor, guaranty and fraudulent conveyance issues.  He earned his B.A., summa cum laude, from Wabash College and his J.D., cum laude, from Indiana University School of Law – Bloomington.

 

Ann M. Kim, in the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Practice, advises employers on a broad range of ERISA and employee benefit-related matters, including tax-qualified retirement plans (such as employee stock ownership plans, profit-sharing plans, 403(b) plans, cash balance plans and defined benefit plans), nonqualified plans, executive and key employee compensation, split dollar life insurance, constructive receipt, litigation and health and welfare plans.  She also advises employers on their benefit-related fiduciary duties, corporate governance and the protection of health information.  Ms. Kim has worked extensively with the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Labor on correction programs for retirement plans, including drafting submissions, negotiating settlements and speaking with government officials on their respective programs.  She earned her B.S. from Northern Illinois University and her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law.

 

Krassimira Zourkova, in the Public Finance Practice, concentrates her practice in financial services and public finance, with an emphasis in the area of over-the-counter derivatives.  She has represented major dealers and various end users (such as hedge funds, utilities, proprietary trading firms, municipalities and others) in structuring, documenting and negotiating a wide spectrum of derivatives products, including interest rate, foreign exchange, commodity, equity, credit and weather swaps and other derivatives.  Ms. Zourkova has also advised clients on the use of derivatives in the context of asset management, public finance, private placements, securitizations, project financings and other corporate transactions.  She has substantial experience in the ISDA documentation framework, as well as repurchase agreements, securities lending agreements, prime brokerage agreements, futures agreements, master netting structures, collateral arrangements, and alternative documents customized on a client-by-client basis.  She earned her B.A. from Princeton University and her J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Gregory S. Korman, in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice, represents the firm’s clients in a wide variety of business litigation matters, including actions arising from trade secret and intellectual property disputes, partnership disputes, commercial and consumer loan defaults, and other complex commercial transactions.  Mr. Korman focuses his practice on cases involving commercial and consumer finance issues, handling individual and class actions involving various state and federal consumer protection laws including the Truth in Lending Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Consumer Legal Remedies Act, and California’s Unfair Competition Law.  He also has substantial experience litigating the preemptive effect of federal banking statutes and regulations.  Mr. Korman earned his B.S. from the University of Southern California and his J.D. from Loyola Law School.
