About Allison E. Yager

Allison Yager is an associate in the Insolvency and Restructuring practice. She primarily represents secured lenders and financial institutions, as well as unsecured creditors and corporate debtors. Prior to joining Katten, Allison gained unique insight into the inner workings of the bankruptcy courts as a law clerk for a bankruptcy judge. This experience has proven especially valuable throughout all stages of the bankruptcy cases and other litigation in which Allison has been involved.

Guiding creditors and debtors through the challenges of insolvency

Allison represents both creditors and debtors in complex bankruptcy cases and related actions all over the US. She also assists clients in out-of-court workouts and restructurings, including Article 9 sales, strict foreclosures and assignments for the benefit of creditors. In addition, Allison represents secured lenders on the front end of financing deals, including structuring and drafting commercial credit and collateral agreements.

Allison currently sits on the board of the Chicago chapter of the International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation.

While in law school, Allison served as a primary editor for the Washington University Global Studies Law Review and worked as an extern in the Office of the General Counsel for the St. Louis Cardinals. She also received a CALI Award in Trusts and Estates
