Mark Grossmann, head of the Corporate practice, is the focus of a Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI) Alumni Spotlight. In 1997, Mark served as a PILI Fellow—sponsored by Katten—at Loyola University's Community Law Center. The profile discusses Mark's efforts to engage more Corporate attorneys in pro bono work, along with Katten's role as a leader in prioritizing pro bono work to attorneys. Mark also shared his personal community service priorities and added that supporting a healthy pro bono practice at Katten is part of what has made him successful. "There are different ways to measure success," he explained. "We always think of financial measures, but fulfillment is important too. Doing pro bono work is what helps me feel fulfilled as a lawyer."
